Refound and Cancellation Policy

We understand that travel plans can change — especially in a country where nature likes to improvise. This cancellation policy is designed to be fair, transparent, and respectful of both travelers and local operations.

1. Cancellations by the Client

  • More than 48 hours before the tour start time
    → Full refund (100%), no questions asked.

  • Between 48 and 24 hours before the tour start time
    → 50% refund.

  • Less than 24 hours before the tour start time or no-show
    → No refund.

This policy applies to all private and small-group tours.

2. Weather & Safety-Related Cancellations (by Us)

Safety always comes first. If a tour is cancelled by us due to:

  • Severe weather conditions

  • Road closures

  • Unsafe driving conditions

  • Official warnings from Icelandic authorities

You will be offered one of the following options:

  • A full refund (100%), or

  • The possibility to reschedule the tour for another available date

The decision to cancel a tour for safety reasons is always made in the best interest of our guests.

3. Changes & Rescheduling

  • Changes to tour dates or times are subject to availability.

  • Requests made more than 48 hours in advance will be accommodated whenever possible, at no extra cost.

  • Last-minute changes may not be possible due to logistics and planning constraints.

4. Early Termination of a Tour

If a tour is shortened or interrupted due to weather, road conditions, or safety concerns:

  • Partial refunds are not guaranteed, as operational costs remain unchanged.

  • Each case will be evaluated individually, always with fairness and transparency.

5. Refund Method

  • Refunds are issued using the original payment method.

  • Processing time may take 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider.

6. Acceptance of Policy

By booking a tour, you acknowledge and accept this cancellation and refund policy.
